The Engineering Company for Electromechanical Services is nearing completion of a parking project, designed to produce electricity using solar energy.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Engineering Company for Electromechanical Services, Engineer Al-Mabrouk Saleh, said in statements to Libya Observer that the project, which is being implemented for the Solar Energy Research Center in Tajoura, is the first of its kind in Libya, and one of the pioneering projects on the level of the African continent.

He added that the project was designed to produce 62 KW of electricity, relying entirely on solar energy, which is sufficient for the average needs of approximately 30 homes.

The design also allows the generated energy to be connected to the general electricity network, allowing the center to benefit from this energy during working hours.

Engineer Al-Mabrouk pointed out that the project was implemented through local companies, despite the difficulties facing the Libyan labor market, out of a desire to encourage national industries and provide opportunities for Libyan youth, according to his statement.

He explained that the company received the project last May, and that it will be delivered in mid-January, amid a celebration and opening ceremony.

Engineer Al-Mabrouk believes that Libya, with its solar energy, can become a leader in this field and transform from a developed country in oil exports to an exporter of this clean energy.

The Engineering Company for Electromechanical Services is one of the leading companies in the field of energy. It was founded in 2009, with the aim of localizing technology and solar energy in Libya.

The company participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, which was organized in Hyderabad, India 2017 GES.
